I hold a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from a CACREP accredited program, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado. In my counseling practice, I work largely with LGBTQ+ concerns, eating disorders, holistic sexual health, values and identity, and grief and loss, and I am Prepare/Enrich certified in working with couples. I believe deeply in the power of interpersonal and intrapersonal relationship work in the therapeutic process, and I offer a holistic and integrative approach that honors the mind, body, and spirit.
I am also especially passionate about addressing the ways in which body image difficulties impact the LGBTQ+ community and providing education through writing and public speaking on this topic. Some of my work has been featured in the Huffington Post and on Mirror-Mirror.org.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading the memoirs of comedians who also happen to be women, experimenting with new bread recipes, and exploring Denver’s latest hot spots with a friend or two. My laugh has been called everything from "bright and infectious" to a "cackle," but I have never stopped appreciating the use of well-timed humor in life and in therapy, and it is likely to be used in a session or two.
